Our Association would like to address hereby all the respectful members of the European Commission in an effort to reveal the unbelievable restriction of trade and competition within the Hellenic Car Market. This is caused by the non-conformation of the Hellenic Legislation to the European Court Decisions in the cases C-375/95 & C-323/98. Despite the repeated indication of non-compliance to the Hellenic Administration from our Association and your part, the situation has not changed at all since February 2001.
Greek Merchants are almost disappointed because they realize that European justice cannot apply in fact. Several Car Trading Companies have experienced bankruptcy and many others suffer high financial losses due to the ongoing Hellenic illegal behavior. Since no reaction has been observed till now by the Commission Institutions, we would like to be officially informed about the Commission’s intentions on the matter.
We remain at your disposal for further explanations and are ready to provide you with all the necessary documentation proving our claims.
